Columbus McKinnon will be consolidating its North American Duff Norton linear motion production activities from Charlotte, NC, with its new, state-of-the-art North American Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Monterrey, Mexico. By the end of September 2024, all production of Duff Norton linear motion products will occur out of this new facility.

The significant investments in advanced manufacturing technology will allow the company to combine multiple manufacturing processes into a single operation to improve efficiency and quality and reduce handling.

New equipment, coupled with new tooling, will increase machining capacity and quality. A new CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and, ultimately, MES (manufacturing execution system) will provide improved information flow with coordinated control and electronic distribution of information. We are also implementing part marking to improve traceability and part identification.

They will also be creating an additional R&D (research and development) center at this location to support efforts to develop high-quality, innovative products for intelligent motion applications worldwide.
